Kent Velo Boys

Kent Velo Boys is a men’s road cycling club aimed at social group riding. Our members range from those returning to two wheels for fitness and camaraderie, to experienced riders training for some of the toughest gran fondos. We meet weekly on Saturdays at 9.00am, when we ride in groups, organised by speed from our base in Hildenborough.

We are a supportive and friendly cycle club that welcomes and encourages new members and provides a safe group riding experience where “no one is dropped.” At the same time, we’re looking to improve our skills and the scope of our riding through our own events, such as our annual training camp in Mallorca, cycling experiences such as our annual ride in France, and (this year) a trip to the London Velodrome. Naturally, we also take part together in sportives around the UK and Europe.

When the riding is done, we like nothing better than to share our experiences and thoughts about bikes, training, races, kit and just about anything else over a coffee or the occasional curry. We enjoy a close association with our sister club Kent Velo Girls, with whom we organise joint rides, training and events.

Please feel free to join us any Saturday for a trial ride!

The “bread and butter’ of our club are the daily club rides our Ride Leaders run every week. The main goal for us is to ride with others. That’s what we do, six days a week.Always anticipated with much excitement is the trip to Folkestone, long ride there - in the sunshine- lunch by the sea, a sneaky glass of rosé, and the train home!Finishing the 106k distance in the Maratona at the weekend this KVG was thanking all the club members who gave support and encouragement during her rather shortened training (injury) in the lead up to the event. Well done!
