The Sunday Touring Ride is co-ordinated by Pat Rawlins and led by a core group of experienced endurance riders. The aim is to explore the Kent countryside predominantly on the beautiful, small country lanes, starting from different locations (rarely from Hilden) varying distances from week to week. During the winter months rides are around 30-40 miles and once spring arrives they increase to between 40 and 70 miles with 2,500 – 3,500 ft of climbing. All rides will have a coffee stop or a break and will sometimes take time out to visit places of interest. Details will be posted on FaceBook. Average speed is typically around 13 mph, but the emphasis is more on enjoying the route and the social side of riding, than on speed.
